The main cardholders of Mir Business VTB (Kazakhstan) cards are trading companies – their share is more than 50%. One-third of the cards are issued by cargo carriers. Most business cards are issued in Uralsk, Kostanai and Almaty. The main volume of transactions on them falls on transport costs, payment for hotel accommodation, and purchases in retail outlets.
«We have seen a steady demand from entrepreneurs for Mir Business cards in cities that are geographically located close to the border with Russia, as they are actively doing business with this country. To improve customer convenience, in the coming months, we plan to launch a virtual version of the business card so that its holders can quickly issue it and immediately start paying for purchases using a smartphone,» said Olesya Akylova, Director of Corporate Banking at VTB (Kazakhstan).
VTB (Kazakhstan) started issuing Mir Business cards in March last year. The card can be used to make payments in Russia and other countries with the Mir payment system. The card is issued free of charge for three years, and its annual service fee starts from 10,000 tenge. After the product is given, an organization account is automatically opened, to which funds can be transferred from the company’s current account. At the same time, the accounting department gets full access to transactions and reporting on the card in VTB Business online bank.
Existing VTB customers can apply for a card in VTB Business Internet banking and pick it up at a bank branch. New customers need to visit one of the bank’s offices in 12 cities in Kazakhstan personally to issue a card.
