Оn the daily chart of the EUR/USD pair, the implementation of the corrective target at 1.0735 is visible. There are chances of consolidation around this mark. In case of a downside breakout, there is a chance of a decline to 1.0710.
On Wednesday, the dollar fell from another three-month high against the basket of major currencies. Investors consolidated profits after a stronger-than-expected consumer price index report.
The January inflation data pushed back expectations for the Federal Reserve’s first interest rate cut. The index stood at 3.1% y/y, down from 3.4% earlier and below the forecast of 2.9%. Core annual inflation remained at 3.9%.
Today is an important day: data on retail sales, industrial production in January, and the weekly report on initial jobless claims will be released.
